Mitchell Long, D.O.

Dr. Long is a fellowship trained orthopedic spine surgeon practicing in Long Island, New York City and Northern New Jersey who specializes in minimally invasive spine surgery, trauma, and spinal deformity. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY and his spine surgery fellowship at Upstate University Hospital, a level 1 trauma center in Syracuse, NY. There he received extensive training under the mentorship of some of the leading complex spine surgeons in the country.

Dr. Long has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals on the topics of orthopedics and spinal surgery. As a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopaedics, he has presented at several national meetings in the fields of orthopedics and spine surgery.

Dr. Long’s clinical areas of expertise are degenerative conditions of the cervical and lumbar spine, minimally invasive spine surgery, cervical disc replacement, spinal trauma, pediatric and adult deformity, scoliosis, complex spine reconstruction, and revision spinal surgery.
