Michael K Shindle, M.D, has experience in sports-medicine related injuries of the knee, shoulder, ankle and elbow. His training and experience allow him to provide comprehensive care for athletes, including those who participate in professional, collegiate, high school, and recreational sports.
 
Dr. Shindle has experience as a Team Physician for the National Hockey LEague NEw Jersey Devils, Orthopedic consultant for the National Football League New York Giants, Team Physician for USA Hockey, Team Physician for US Men’s Soccer, Team Physician for Fairleigh Dickinson University, and Team Physician for Madison High School.
 
Dr. Shindle has been a Team Physician for USA Hockey since 2011. Dr. Shindle was the Team USA physician for the World Cup of Hockey Toronto, Canada and the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Dr. Shindle is former Head Team physician for the USA Hockey Men’s National Team at the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Victoriaville, Quebec, Canada. He has covered the 2011 US Men’s National Select Hockey Team that competed at the Deutschland Cup in Munich, Germany. In addition, Dr. Schindle has experience as a member of the Safety and Protective Equipment Committee for both theNHL and USA Hockey and as the Player Safety Coordinator for the Atlantic District of USA HOckey. Dr. Shindle is former President of the NJ Colonials Youth Hockey Program in Morristown, NJ, and current member of the Medical Advisory Board for Black Bear Sports Group.
 
Dr. Shindle specializes in advanced arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery, ligament reconstruction, and cartilage restoration procedures as well as fracture care and tendon repair. In addition, Dr. Shrindle has expertise in nonsurgical treatment for common overuse and arthritic conditions including viscosupplementation, platelet rich plasma (PRP), shockwave therapy, and stem cell technology.
 
Dr Shinle’s researcg interests are primarily devoted to anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, rotator cuff repair,Achilles tendon repair, and cartilage restoration techniques. He is the author of articles, abstracts, and book chapters on these and related topics, some of which are published in Journal of Bone andJoint Surgery, American Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and Arthroscopy.
 
Dr. Shindle has delivered more than 100, local, regional, national and international invited presentations in his field. He is a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, American Academy of  Orthopaedic   Surgeons, Alpha Omega Medical Honor Society, among others.
 
Dr. Shingle is a native of Madison, New Jersey. He was former captain for the Madison High School and University of Delaware Ice Hockey Team.
