Amos Dai, MD, is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon, fellowship trained in foot and ankle surgery. He specializes in all aspects of nonsurgical and surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions, including arthritis, flatfoot/cavus deformities, Achilles tendon disorders, ankle sprains, cartilage injuries, fractures, bunions, plantar fasciitis, and Morton’s neuromas, among others. While at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, Dr. Dai received specialized training in revision surgery, ankle arthroscopy, flatfoot/cavus reconstruction, total ankle replacement, and minimally invasive bunion correction under the mentorship of Drs. Gregory Guyton, Stuart Miller, Jacob Wisbeck, and Walter Hembree.

Dr. Dai grew up on Staten Island, NY and attended Stuyvesant High School. He then graduated from Duke University cum laude with a BS in Biology. After dedicating a year of service to the Americorp program City Year Los Angeles, Dr. Dai attended Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He also completed a research year at NYU Langone Orthopedics, where he published numerous surgical technique videos and manuscripts. During his residency at Stony Brook, Dr. Dai proudly served as the academic chief resident and is also currently a reviewer for Foot & Ankle International.

As a surgeon, Dr. Dai truly believes in exhausting all nonsurgical treatment options before considering surgery. His passion for foot and ankle surgery stems from a desire to help his patients return to their normal lives, especially when they feel they have few options remaining. In his spare time, Dr. Dai enjoys doing HIIT workouts, cooking, singing karaoke, and spending quality time with his wife, son, and British Shorthair.
