Each year, the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, New York State Grand Lodge Foundation, Inc., supports cultural, educational, and philanthropic programs, both locally and statewide.
Dr. Charles Ruotolo, Orthopedic Surgery Specialist was a distinguished honoree among Louis Lacarbonara, Presidents of the Italian American Labor Council; Honorable Joseph S. Saladino, Supervisor, Town of Oyster Bay and Raymond A. Tierney, Suffolk County District Attorney.
The Foundation supports major charitable organizations, such as the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Association, the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism, as well as Cancer Research, and many other worthwhile causes. Major Foundation programs include the Commission for Social Justice, the Garibaldi Meucci Museum, the OSDIA Gift of Sign program, a non-profit Sesion Housing project, and a highly regarded statewide scholarship and grant program.
